Lap Joint Flange

Fusion Fittings is a quality ASME/ANSI/DIN lap flange manufacturer in China. We offer standard-size metric lap flanges and raised face lap flanges on a just-in-time delivery program. Lap flanges made of carbon steel and alloy steel can be supplied on a just-in-time schedule.

Loose-fitting flanges (loose-fitting flanges) are similar to other types of industrial flanges, but they do not have a raised face. 150-grade lap flanges are used in conjunction with "lap short ends". The total initial cost of the lap flange with the short end is approximately one-third higher than that of a comparable butt weld flange. The pressure-carrying capacity of the flange is relatively low, and the fatigue life of the assembly is only one-tenth that of a butt weld flange.

Lap flanges with short-end assemblies are typically used in piping systems that require periodic disassembly for inspection and cleaning. These flanges are snapped onto the pipe and are not welded or otherwise secured to the pipe. The bolted connection pressure is transferred to the gasket through the back of the flange-to-pipe lap (Stub End).
